Description
Demands have been made to the central government to exempt exams like NEET and JEE in India for this year alone due to the coronavirus. However, the central government is in a position to conduct exams like NEET.
In this context, a news card spreading as “If the NEET-JEE exams are cancelled by accepting the demands of the students, there will be substandard doctors and engineers all over the country like in Tamil Nadu in the last ten years. Qualification and quality are more important than anything else, ” as said by Union Education Minister Ramesh Porkhriyal. Followers also asked us to find the authenticity of that post.
On August 26, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal quoted, “Students and parents continue to pressuring us for NEET to be held, and even the Supreme Court of India has said that the entire academic year should not be wasted.” But nowhere does he mention that non-standard doctors and engineers have emerged in Tamil Nadu due to not writing exams like NEED and JEE. No such news has been released.
Further examination of Kathir News Facebook page revealed that the News card was not included. We thought that they might have been removed it. Later, they posted that the News card spread in their name was fake.
