To win the elections, BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri first spewed poison in the Parliament, defamed it, created tension between Hindus and Muslims and now is spreading hatred against the people of UP-Bihar. The basic mantra of BJP is to divide people to win elections. Sometimes in the name of religion, sometimes in the name of caste and region. This time his disease will be cured.
In the viral post shared by the user namely ‘Chandan Yadav’ along with a Hindi newspaper screenshot stating that BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri’s derogatory remarks against residents of Delhi from UP & Bihar. Ramesh Bidhuri’s statement in the Hindi newspaper when translated to English states, “There is only one treatment for the people of UP and Bihar, make them work and then thrash them and drive them away from here.” Now this screenshot with the above claim is circulated all over social media saying that the BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri has said that provocative statement can be seen here. Come, let’s check the authenticity of this viral claim.
What’s the truth?
Notably, in recent times, BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri sparked controversy by directing religious slurs and hate speech towards BSP MP Danish Ali during a parliamentary session. So, this above claim of BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri along with a newspaper screenshot shared by social media users invited more criticism.
When we started our research using newspaper screenshot using a simple Google reverse image process, we found that the same newspaper has a long history because it has been circulated on social media since 2018. Interestingly, Ramesh Bidhuri himself addressed the issue and posted a Facebook post with the same newspaper clip stating that as fake. In this post, he said, “How much people can fall in the greed of power. I just got to know that I gave a statement on social media for the residents of UP, Bihar while neither any newspaper was named nor the printer. AAP spokesperson had run the fake cutting of newspaper on 25th June as a result he had to apologize publicly because then Janasatta newspaper rejected the news completely, and now there’s no name of the newspaper. Thus 2014 elections I also tried to eradicate the false rhetoric image of serious fake crime cases against me. As a result of which Kejriwal is suffering from defamation cases. Delhi is the capital of the country, it belongs to everyone from India. We are going to unite the country not break it. Along with the respected people of UP and Bihar, Delhi belongs to all 125 crore Indians.”
The same above post was also shared in his X account on the same day on 2018.
Likewise, BJP Official Delhi state X page has also tweeted on 13 October 2018 with the same newspaper cutting with a fake news seal on it. According to the post, “Delhi BJP denies this news being spread on social media by some anti-social elements. This news is completely false and baseless and is being spread as part of a well-planned conspiracy by those who want to divide society for their politics. It has no connection with BJP or any of its leaders.”
This proves that the above viral screenshot is old and doing rounds on social media since 2018 with false and fake accusations against MP Ramesh Bidhuri.
Thus, we conclude through our investigation and research that the above claims are fake and very old which found their way into the domain creating more confusion among the public. In reality, the viral newspaper cutting is used against the BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri now, due to his recent controversial talks in the parliament.
