Explanation

Several burqa-clad women are strolling through a street market in the 22-second clip. In addition, we also observe numerous stores and a few street vendors offering food. An infographic featuring Bradford, UK appears in the video. This post claims that many European cities, most notably Bradford, UK, are unrecognizable as a result of mass immigration.

What’s the truth?

We began our investigation by reading through the comments, where a few users expressed that this appeared to be a street in Pakistan. As we looked further, we found that another user was claiming that it was a place called Jhelum from Pakistan.

Moreover, the user replied with a screenshot of the jewelry store “SAKHI Jewellers,” which popped up at the beginning of the viral video, mentioning that it is located in Jhelum, Pakistan.

Using that as a cue, we conducted a keyword search and found the original video that was posted on the “GIRL IN PARADISE” YouTube channel on February 10, 2022.

The video is captioned “WALKING TOUR OF HYDERABAD PAKISTAN, WALKING THROUGH SHAHI BAZAR, RESHAM BAZAR, CITY WALK, 4K60FPS.”

When we looked into the description box it read “This colorful market is one of the main attractions of the city. The Shahi Bazar is considered one of the longest bazaars in Asia. It starts from Pakka Fort and ends at Market Tower (Naval Rai Clock Tower). It’s about 2km long.”

We closely examined the video and discovered that the same viral clip occurs between 0:7 and 26 seconds in the timestamp.

The data above clarifies that the viral video originates in Pakistan, not Bradford.

Conclusion:

We, therefore, conclude that the video, which purports to show Bradford, UK, looking unrecognizable following mass immigration, is inaccurate and misleading. Actually, the footage is of Shahi Bazar’s street markets in Pakistan.
