After making headlines when she entered India illegally to meet her lover Sachin, Seema Haider, a Pakistani resident, has once again gained attention after a shocking video that appeared to show injuries on her face went viral on social media.

The 17-second viral video shows a woman who is in front of the camera showing her swollen face, nose, and injured lips. This post is shared with a claim stating that “The news of the ‘fight between Sachin and Seema’ is getting viral on social media.” You can view a similar claim post here.

What’s the truth?

We began our investigation by searching Google for pertinent keywords, which directed us to a plethora of tweets and videos discussing the issue in question. We managed to obtain access to their own YouTube page, Seemasachin10, where they uploaded a one-minute and twenty-three-second video that addresses the viral clip. The video is titled “fake news se bacche.”

Here we hear and see both Seema and Sachin saying “Everything is alright between me and my husband Sachin. Our entire family is staying happily and peacefully. I am in India. I am in Uttar Pradesh and the Chief Minister of the state Maharaj Yogi Adityanathji will never allow any kind of atrocity against any woman,”.They completed their video by saying ‘Jai Shree Ram.’

When we intensified our search we got another tweet by IANS India. Their post is captioned as “Uttar Pradesh: Seema Haider releases a video following the viral beating video. She says, “Some Pakistani news channels are spreading lies. Pakistani media channels are not refraining from spreading falsehoods even during the holy month of Ramzan.”

Additionally, a video of Seema Haider and her husband Sachin denying the viral beating video has been added to the post.

The News 1 India tweet shares a post with the viral video along with another video of Seema Haider’s lawyer denying the misinformation. Here the tweet is captioned, “Seema Haider’s new video goes viral. Seema Haider is seen injured after the fight in the viral video. Seema Haider shows the injury marks on her face and hands. Video of the fight between Sachin and Seema goes viral. Seema’s lawyer AP Singh stated on the viral video that Pakistani YouTubers are making fake videos of Seema using AI and making them viral. Seema Haider and Sachin are living comfortably. There is no proof as to whence the video originates. These widely shared videos are also not verified by News 1 India.”

The information provided above makes it clear that the widely circulated rumors of Seema Haider’s injuries are false.

Therefore, we conclude that the widely shared video which purports to depict a fight between Sachin and Seema, is a piece of misleading information. Seema and Sachin have also clarified the matter and alleged Pakistani YouTubers with disseminating similar false information.
