Entire GDP of Pakistan inside that donation box at Ram Mandir, Ayodhya
On January 22, 2024, the Ram temple in Ayodhya was inaugurated with great festivities. The doors of the Ram temple opened to the general public on Tuesday, a day after the consecration of the new Ram Lalla idol.
The 16-second viral video shows a woman dropping cash in bundles inside a temple’s donation box. We also see a security pushing the cash with the stick to ensure it falls properly into the holes. This post is shared with a claim stating, “Pakistan’s entire GDP is inside the donation box of Ram Mandir, Ayodhya.” One such claim post can be seen here.

What’s the truth?
According to a web search on the viral video keyframes, we learned that the video was on social media even before the opening of the Ram temple.
A video of a woman putting money into a donation box was posted on Instagram and YouTube in September 2023. The Hindi title, upon translation, read as ‘Sanwalia Seth Temple’. The video is captioned as “Today a woman donated Rs 10 lakh in the treasury of Bhadsoda Sanwaliya ji. Jai Ho Sanwaliya Shyam Sundar.”
Sanwalia Seth Temple is a Hindu temple located in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan. And the Ayodhya Ram Temple was inaugurated on 22, January 2024.
It is worth noting that this viral video was present on the internet even before that.
All this information clarifies that the video from the Rajasthan temple is falsely circulated as a Ram temple.
We also searched if there was any official announcement regarding the Ayodhya Ram temple offering. Prakash Gupta, office in-charge of Ramjanma Bhoomi Tirtha Shetra Foundation, said that in 11 days, cash, online, and cheques, Rs.11.5 crores have been donated. But the viral video has nothing to do with this news.
Earlier, the Sanwalia Seth temple’s video was circulated as a video of counting the cash in the Ram temple, in Ayodhya. YouTurn has published an article researching the same can be read below.
In our search, the information about a viral video stating that Pakistan’s GDP is inside the donation box of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is false. In reality, the woman offering cash in the donation box video is from Sanwaliya Seth temple located in the state of Rajasthan.
