A picture of a person with a saffron-coloured towel in front of a shop is claimed as UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s elder brother who is leading his life with a minimal income, is viral on social media.
What is the Truth?
When the viral picture is reverse searched, we could only find the same viral posts. Details of the person were not found.
Hence when we searched about the details of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s family, a video of his family’s interview taken by the ABP News channel in 2017 was found.
Yogi Adityanath has an elder brother, Mavendra Mohan and two younger brothers namely Shylendra and Mahendra Mohan. Shylendra Mohan is working as Subedar in the Indian Army in the India-China control area, according to news in 2017.
The video also showed his elder brother Mavendra Mohan and younger brother Mahendra Mohan. Both of them do not look like the person in the viral picture.
A picture of another person was viral in 2019 claiming it as Yogi Adityanath’s brother. And Yogi Adityanath’s brother-in-law has clarified it to India Today, “None of Yogi’s brothers is running a tea shop. He has 3 brothers and 3 sisters”.
Conclusion
The picture of a person claiming to be Yogi Adityanath’s elder brother and is running a tea shop is fake. None of his brothers is running a tea shop.
