Explanation
Chetankumar Singh, Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable killed four people including RPF Assistant Sub-Inspector Tikaram Meena on July 31 in the Mumbai-Jaipur Express train. The other three are identified as passengers who are Muslims. Thousands of Muslims take to streets in Rajasthan’s Jaipur to protest during the first week of August, against the shooting incident.
Meanwhile, a video purportedly showing a massive crowd of Muslim men on the roads below a bridge is viral with different claims since August 7 relating the video to Rajasthan protests. One post claims that Muslims are on a peaceful protest against the incident of three Muslims being killed in a train. Some posts did not mention the Mumbai train killing but mentioned it as Rajasthan protest generally. Some of the other posts with similar claims can be seen here, here and here.
What is the truth?
When reverse searching the keyframes of the viral video we found the viral video posted on a Facebook page dated 17, June 2023 by Junaid Mukati PS 103, a Political organisation in Pakistan as per the bio. The caption of the video is roughly translated as “Ideology never dies, after sacrifices, prisons, Takhthaddar Today after 10 years, Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh got permission for Open Gathering. Today, all of Dhaka is surrounded by scenes after decades of sacrifices Allah is the greatest”.
When searching about Jamaat-e-Islami, we found that the Islamist organisation in Bangladesh organised a political rally after a decade. This article reported that this rally was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 8, June 2023.
We also found another Facebook post dated 7, June 2023 carrying the viral video with hashtags ‘Bishwa Ijtema’. This is the earliest dated version of the viral video that we could find on the internet. The Bishwa Ijtema is an annual gathering of Muslims in Tongi, by the banks of the River Turag, on the outskirts of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is one of the largest peaceful gatherings in the world.
However, we could not authenticate the veracity of the above-stated Facebook posts. One of the posts dated June 17 claimed that the video is from Jamaat-a-Islami political rally that was held in Bangladesh on June 8. And the other post dated June 7 mentioned it as Bishwa ljtema, an annual gathering of Muslims in Bangladesh.
Though we could not ascertain the whereabouts of the viral video, we could confirm that the video is not related to the Rajasthan protests against the Mumbai train killing incident. This incident of shooting happened on July 31 and the protests were held during the first week of August. But this viral video is doing its rounds on the internet at least since 7, June 2023. And we also searched for the visuals of Rajasthan protests but we ended up finding no authentic report quoting the viral video as Rajasthan.

Conclusion
It is found that an unrelated video of a massive gathering of Muslims is shared to falsely link it to Rajasthan protests against the killing of three Muslims.
