Multiple Indian states including Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Punjab are witnessing excessive rainfall which leads to flood-like situations in most of the places. This rainfall across the Northern states of India has not only caused landslides but also killed many people. It has also collapsed buildings, destroyed crops, and washed away cattle and vehicles in many places.

In this situation, a 19-second video clip showing a cow washed away in a water body that was later rescued by a person operating a bulldozer is widely circulated. This video is shared with the claim that it is from India. The caption of the viral posts read that this is the beauty of India. Some of the posts with such a claim can be seen here and here.
What is the truth?
When reverse-searching the keyframes of the viral video we found that the video is not from India but from Turkey. Telegraph article dated 26, June 2023 is found carrying the viral video. It states that the video is of an incident where a cow was being washed away in a flooding irrigation channel in Turkey, and was rescued later by an expert digger operator who managed to scoop the cow from water. The cow is said to have travelled down the waterway for around four kilometers after falling in.
A tweet by Middle East Eye is found carrying the viral video while searching further. The tweet mentions that the incident happened in Igdir, Turkey on 25, June 2023. And the video was credited to a Twitter user with the user name ‘Eyaaaad’.

Another tweet dated 25, June 2023 (the earliest dated video that we could find) by a Twitter user Levandov captioned the video as “A crane operator saves a calf who fell in a water canal with incredible timing, in Iğdır, Turkey”. Nowhere in any of the earliest dated tweets it is mentioned that the video is from India.

Conclusion
It is found that the video of a cow being rescued with the help of a bulldozer from a flooded irrigation channel is not from India.
