Explanation

A 15-second video displays several trucks loaded with cows placed in the rear storage area. An infographic titled “Adani Port Gujarat” can be seen in the video clip. This post is shared with a claim stating, “At Adani port, a sight unfolds as thousands of trucks brimming with cows await export to Arab countries. What’s the truth?

Using the keyframes from the viral video, one could search the internet and find that on April 19, “Hamed Elhagary’s” Facebook profile uploaded the same clip. An additional search on his Facebook page revealed that he was identified as an Egyptian meat wholesaler.

The footage has also been uploaded to an Arabic-language Facebook page called ‘Meat Market’ (سوق المحمد). By examining the phone number’s country code (+20), it was feasible to determine that this Facebook page is likewise located in Egypt.

Further investigation reveals a similarity between some segments of the viral video and the footage shot at ‘Umm Qasr Port’ in Iraq. However, the exact location where the viral video was shot could not be identified. If found we will updte this article with the additional information.

Additionally, We found the list of Indian integrated abattoirs and meat processing plants on the official website of Indian government’s Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). This list includes products of buffalo, goat and sheep. Cow is nowhere listed in this document. This clarifies that India exports only buffalo for meat, not cow. These make it rather evident that this video was not made in India.

Conclusion:

Thus we conclude that the claim stating that the video circulating about hundreds of lorries of cows being exported through ships with the permission of the BJP government is not true.
