What is the truth?
When reverse searching the keyframes of the viral image we found that they are not from Manipur. The same video is found posted on the Facebook page of Shekinah Mukhiya on May 24. The video caption says ‘Me and Papa decided to cover this beautiful song’. This clarifies that they are a father-daughter duo.
When skimming through the Facebook page of Shekinah Mukhiya, we found another song video of the father-daughter duo from the same location. This caption mentions about the song and in addition to it, it also says “It’s raining here a lot in Doon but we really wanted to post a new reel for all the followers so we decided to record it WHILE it was raining hope y’all like this one !!!”. This denotes that the video was recorded in Dehradun.
The profile bio of Shekinah Mukiyah mentions that she is an artist from Dalanwala, Dehradun.
Multiple unrelated videos were shared earlier to falsely link with the Manipur issue. Youturn covered the false claims and published articles on the same.
Another video from Dehradun is falsely shared as Haryana violence. We published an article on the same.
It is found that a video of a father-daughter duo is falsely shared as one is Kuki and the other is Meitei. It is to be noted that the video was recorded in Uttarakhand’s Dehradun and not in Manipur.
