Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is leading the recently started movement Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. The yatra was started on 14, January 2024 in Thoubal district near Imphal, Manipur, and will end on 20, March 2024 in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, a viral video was shared and claimed by many state youth Congress official X (formerly Twitter) handles, such as Maharashtra Youth Congress, Odisha Youth Congress, and Rajasthan Youth Congress, that Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra went crazy because of the huge crowd.
In a viral video, we can see a huge number of people throwing flowers, and also at the end, Rahul Gandhi is seen waving his hand. The posts claim it as RG’s craze is Nagaland.
What is the Truth?
We ran a reverse search using the keyframes of the viral video and found the original video posted on the Rahulnairphotograhyzz Instagram page on June 21, 2023. This caption states “Jai Jagannath” along with four hashtags related to Jagannath puri yatra.
We also attached a comparison of the original video image and the viral image below.
We can clearly see the similar white and red buildings in both images which gives an idea that both videos are the same.
Many media outlets such as Mint, Amar Ujala, TOI, and Indian Express also reported about Jagannath Rath Yatra 2023. According to all this, we found that the visuals of Jagannath Rath Yatra 2023 is falsely shared as Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.
It is found that the visuals of Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra crowd is falsely shared as Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.
