The tweet further mentions that an official privy to the development told , on the condition of anonymity, that no such agreement was signed between Khan and the U.S. ambassador. And it is also mentioned that Yousuf Naseem Khokhar, the interior secretary, had retired on March 7, while the letter is dated May 8.

When searching to know if the interior secretary, Yousaf Naseem Khokhar retired on 7, March, we found that he indeed retired on the mentioned date, as per Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).
